Job Description

We are seeking a results-oriented and strategic Head of Sales and Distribution to lead our team in Kampala. This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, managing our distribution network, and leading a high-performing team to drive revenue and market share growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective measures when required.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of efficient distribution networks.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products to customers and maintain strong distributor/retailer relationships.
  • Optimize logistics, inventory flow, and cost management across distribution channels.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the sales and distribution team to achieve high performance.
  • Set sales targets, provide coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Build a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales at a managerial level, preferably in FMCG, insurance, banking, or advertising.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a track record of driving sales growth.
