Job Description
We are seeking a results-oriented and strategic Head of Sales and Distribution to lead our team in Kampala. This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, managing our distribution network, and leading a high-performing team to drive revenue and market share growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective measures when required.
- Oversee the design and implementation of efficient distribution networks.
- Ensure timely delivery of products to customers and maintain strong distributor/retailer relationships.
- Optimize logistics, inventory flow, and cost management across distribution channels.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the sales and distribution team to achieve high performance.
- Set sales targets, provide coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Build a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales at a managerial level, preferably in FMCG, insurance, banking, or advertising.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a track record of driving sales growth.
