Job Description

Airtel Uganda is seeking to recruit a Business Reporting Accountant.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Prepare accurate, timely monthly & quarterly management reports.
  • Prepare business performance analysis versus set targets.
  • Timely submission of management reports per set timelines.
  • Resolve management reporting queries with Head Office.
  • Prepare accurate & timely Closely Watched Numbers reports to management & Group Finance daily.
  • Ensure Daily Closely Watched Numbers matches with monthly reports.
  • Implement procedures to drive timely comparison and reconciliation of information received from various systems that are used in statistical reporting.
  • Conducts monthly customer trend analysis by class of service, usage by destination and time and reports on findings.
  • Facilitating the business to take appropriate decision through management reports & analysis.
  • Prepare monthly revenue bucket/ segment analysis.
  • Benchmark performance against Competition and other relevant international performance benchmarks.
  • Ensure all financial & nonfinancial information is uploaded into Airtel Hyperion/HFM/FPM accurately.
  • Extract MAPA and review output for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensures that any issues raised during the quarterly, annual and internal   audits are closed in a timely manner.

Requirements, Qualifications and Competences

  • 3-5 years’ Experience.
  • Knowledge of Sun systems, Oracle Financials, Hyperion and Enhanced PC skills.
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option) or equivalent (First Class or Upper Second).
  • Full membership to a Professional Accountancy Qualifications i.e. ACCA, CPA, CIMA.

In May 2013, Airtel Uganda achieved a great success story having acquired Warid Telecom and growing to a family of over 8.9 Million customers and being the 2nd largerst telecom in Uganda.
