Internship Program for June/August 2026 Intake at Uganda Bureau of Statistics
Internship Duties and Responsibilities.
Interns will be actively engaged in various departmental tasks to build their professional skills. Key responsibilities include:

Data Collection and Processing: Assist in gathering and processing relevant data from multiple sources.

Data Entry and Compilation: Input and organize data efficiently for analysis.

Training Participation: Attend workshops and training sessions to enhance professional knowledge and technical skills.
-
Report Writing: Contribute to the preparation of reports on departmental activities and research projects.
-
Departmental Meetings: Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions.
-
Weekly Task Reports: Prepare weekly summaries of work performed within the assigned department.

Additional Duties: Carry out other tasks as assigned by supervisors to support departmental operations.
Roles and Responsibilities under IT Support
For interns in IT and related fields, the program includes practical involvement in system design and maintenance:

System User Requirements: Participate in gathering and defining system user needs.

System Design and Implementation: Assist in the design and deployment of information systems.
-
Departmental Meetings: Engage in IT team discussions and collaborative sessions.

Activity Logs: Maintain detailed records of IT activities and updates.
-
Additional Duties: Support any other IT-related tasks assigned by supervisors.
