Job Description
The Marketing Generalist leads the development and execution of marketing strategies to grow brand visibility, engagement, and business performance.
Responsibilities
Conduct market research to understand customer preferences, trends, and the competitive landscape.
Develop and implement strategic marketing plans aligned with business objectives to drive new customer acquisition and client retention.
Lead the development and delivery of marketing materials and content across digital and traditional channels, ensuring brand consistency and quality.
Monitor and analyse marketing and microfinance industry trends to inform strategy and innovation.
Collaborate with Client Growth to develop, manage, and track the marketing budget, ensuring efficient spend and ROI.
Use systems and data to track, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
Develop and implement digital marketing strategies across platforms (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook, SEO, email) to increase brand visibility and lead generation.
Develop and execute traditional marketing campaigns (print, radio, TV) with compelling messaging.
Plan content and oversee community management to grow engagement across social media platforms.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and service providers.
Analyse client insights and marketing data to oversee the customer journey and provide recommendations for improvement.
Manage public relations activities and develop communication plans to strengthen the company’s reputation.
Contribute to making Unifi a great place to work.
Requirements
The role requires an "Associate" level of minimum experience (as categorized by the company).
A strong understanding of the Ugandan market.
The ability to ensure effective and impactful marketing results.
Skills in campaign management, budget management, market analysis, and partnership building.
