Job Description

The HR Coordinator provides administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources team, ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include maintaining employee records, assisting with payroll, supporting recruitment processes, responding to employee inquiries, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The role also involves handling correspondence, managing office supplies, organizing files, and upholding confidentiality. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and at least 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain filing systems and personnel records.
  • Create and type office correspondence using a computer.
  • Distribute and route mail.
  • Order and track HR office supplies and forms.
  • Answer phone calls and record messages professionally.
  • Support payroll processes.
  • Create new employee personnel files.
  • Assist walk-in candidates with application procedures.
  • Maintain application areas to ensure they are clean, accessible, and organized.
  • Respond to employee and management questions regarding HR programs, policies, and guidelines.
  • Inform HR management of employee relations issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of employee and company records.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records (e.g., interview documents, I-9 forms).
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members.
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers or point-of-sale systems.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: None required.
  • License or Certification: None required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to perform basic physical tasks (e.g., lift objects ≤10 lbs).
