Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on and entrepreneurial Digital Systems Builder to join our team. This is not a typical IT role. We are a start-up, and we are looking for someone who is excited by the challenge of being a part of building our digital infrastructure from the ground up, under the direct mentorship of our tech-savvy founding team.

You will be the key person responsible for connecting our business processes, managing our data flows, and turning data into actionable insights. If you are a proactive problem-solver who loves to automate, integrate, and build smart, simple solutions, this role is for you

Our Commitment to You

  • Competitive salary and benefits package, with a clear path for growth.
  • Direct mentorship from our Managing Director, a seasoned tech entrepreneur with a background as CTO of a major regional scale-up.
  • A high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to be the architect of our digital systems.
  • The chance to join our future Employee Share Option Plan (ESOP) and have a direct stake in the company you help build.
  • Be part of a mission-driven company dedicated to making a positive impact.

Responsibilities

  • Build Our Data Core: Design and implement a simple, scalable data structure to manage information from our sales, operations, and IoT-enabled farming systems.

  • Automate and Integrate: Analyze our workflows and use modern tools (like Zapier, APIs, etc.) to connect our key business systems, including our POS and QuickBooks.

  • Create Insight: Build and maintain real-time management dashboards that give our team the data they need to make smart decisions.

  • Rapidly Prototype Solutions: Use your skills and modern tools (including AI-powered app builders) to quickly develop and test simple applications for core functions like inventory and client management.

  • Support the outsourcing of development projects, developing requirements documents, selecting and screening vendors and supporting testing and roll-out of business software or client/grower-facing applications.

  • Support the Team: As part of a small, agile team, you will provide practical IT support and ensure everyone can work efficiently.

Requirements

  • You have 2-4 years of hands-on experience, likely in a tech, data, or operations role, and you are ready to take on more ownership and responsibility.

  • You are a natural problem-solver. You see a manual process and immediately think about how to automate it.

  • You are highly conversant with spreadsheets and have experience building dashboards that tell a clear story with data.

  • You are tech-curious and a fast learner, excited by the potential of IoT and AI, even if you are not a deep expert yet.

  • You have some technical experience connecting different software tools (e.g., via APIs or integration platforms) and coding scripts.

  • You are driven by our social mission and are excited to use your tech skills to create a tangible, positive impact.
