Accounting Officer

Manage accounts payable (AP) and receivable (AR) i.e. billing, receipting, and collections

Oversee Treasury Management, daily cashflow and perform regular bank reconciliations

Process accurate and timely payroll ensuring compliance with the statutory obligations

Record and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks/Zoho Books, ensure proper financial reporting, and maintain system data integrity.

Prepare financial statements, management reports, and reconciliations.

Support both internal and external audits with required documentation.

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

Prepare and review company tax returns ensuring accurate and timely submission to regulatory bodies.

Ensure compliance with the company policies, accounting standards, relevant laws, legislations and regulations.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (minimum Second-Class Upper)

Professional qualification – CPA (minimum Level 2)

2-3 years of proven experience in a similar or related role.

Proficiency in accounting software (Zoho Books, QuickBooks).

Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements

Added Advantage: Training in Ugandan Taxation and URA Software.
