Job Description

Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) is seeking a Truck Driver to drive and maintain assigned vehicle in accordance with prevailing policies.  

Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily vehicle maintenance checks and generating reports.

  • Keeping the assigned vehicle consistently clean

  • Maintaining and updating a record of vehicle movement log book, insurance, license service cards

  • Reporting technical and mechanical faults

  • Keeping and providing safe custody of vehicle documents and keys

  • Carrying out minor repairs and undertaking timely servicing of the vehicle

  • Monitoring the security and safety of passengers and contents

  • Preparing monthly and periodic reports on vehicle status and recommendations for repair and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Uganda Certificate of Education with a principal pass in English

  • Valid driving license/permit minimum class CM

  • At least three (3) years’ experience in driving in a reputable organization with an accident free proven experience.

  • Proven experience in Driving Trucks and other heavy duty vehicles will be an added advantage 

  • Planning, organizing and coordinating
