Software Developer (MERN or WordPress + SEO & Content Copywriting)

We are seeking a versatile Software Developer skilled in MERN Framework or WordPress/WooCommerce, with strong abilities in SEO (technical + content) and SEO copywriting. The ideal candidate can build, optimize, and write — delivering both high-performing websites and search-optimized content that drives traffic, engagement, and conversions. You will play a key role in developing and growing our ecosystem of content-driven marketplaces, digital platforms, and affiliate systems.

• Build, customize, and maintain scalable websites or web apps using MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) or WordPress/WooCommerce.

• Configure and optimize plugins, APIs, and integrations (payment systems, memberships, or affiliate tools).

• Ensure mobile responsiveness, strong performance, and website security.

• Manage hosting, backups, and deployments for continuous uptime and reliability.

• Conduct technical SEO audits and implement solutions for site speed, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, and indexability.

• Structure websites for improved crawlability, multilingual SEO, and ranking efficiency.

• Integrate analytics and tracking tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush).

• Apply best practices for internal linking, keyword targeting, and metadata optimization.

• Research keywords and write SEO-optimized articles, product descriptions, and landing pages.

• Create engaging and high-converting copy aligned with search intent and brand tone.

• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to deliver content that enhances visibility and user experience.

• Update and refresh existing content based on performance metrics and SEO trends.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in MERN or WordPress development.

• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and RESTful APIs.

• Proven understanding of SEO principles (on-page, off-page, and technical).

• Ability to write fluent, compelling English content with correct structure and keyword integration.

• Proficiency with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, or SEMrush.

• Familiarity with hosting environments, Git workflows, and CMS management.

• Based in Uganda with strong communication and self-management skills.

• Experience with React.js/Next.js, Elementor, or JetEngine.

• Knowledge of affiliate systems, e-commerce, or SaaS content.

• Understanding of structured data, JSON-LD, and multilingual SEO.

• Ability to create simple visuals or graphics to support written content.
