Job Description

We are looking for a qualified, experienced and result oriented professional to fill the following vacancy.


The Senior Business Manager will drive 360° advertising sales across Broadcast, Digital, and Print platforms, with a primary focus on strengthening Broadcast and Digital revenues. The role is responsible for leading, coaching, and motivating a high-performing sales team to deliver on revenue targets, build strategic client relationships, and develop integrated advertising solutions that maximize Nation Media Group's market position and commercial growth.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Nation Media Group's advertising budgets across Broadcast, Digital, and Print, with a strong focus on driving growth in Broadcast and Digital platforms.

  • Develop and execute integrated sales strategies, campaigns, and solutions that maximize cross-platform opportunities.

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team of Business Executives to achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets.

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term client partnerships, serving as a trusted advisor on multi-platform advertising solutions.

  • Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities, with a particular emphasis on Broadcast and Digital innovation.

  • Initiate and negotiate strategic partnerships and sponsorships that enhance revenue growth and brand equity.

  • Monitor sales performance, conduct regular reviews, and implement performance improvement strategies.

  • Manage debtors' ledgers and ensure compliance with credit policies to safeguard revenue.

  • Champion a culture of customer-centricity, ensuring a high-quality client service experience.

  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform business strategy.

  • Collaborate closely with Commercial Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of business plans. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field from a recognized institution.

  • Professional: Relevant professional qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Media Management is an added advantage.

  • At least 7 years of progressive sales and business management experience, with a minimum of 3 years at a supervisory/managerial level in a media, advertising, or fast-paced commercial environment.

  • Proven track record in Broadcast and Digital advertising sales with cross-platform selling exposure (Print desirable).

  • Extensive knowledge and experience commercialization of multi-media commercialization and cross integration with partnerships

  • A member of a professional body in marketing, leadership or any other.

  • Strong cross functional leadership skills

  • Skilled in project management

  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to coach and motivate teams.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Deep understanding of the media advertising ecosystem, especially Broadcast and Digital trends.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Ability to adapt, innovate, and drive new business models in a fast-evolving media landscape.

  • Proficiency in business reporting, forecasting, and use of digital tools/CRM systems.
