Job Description

C Care Uganda is seeking Midwives to serve patients by identifying the best method of retrieving specimens, preparing specimen for lab testing, performing testing procedures while following SOPs to ensure efficient delivery of accurate reports. 

Responsibilities

  • Patient care: Monitor, assess, and document patients' conditions.

  • Infection control and safety: Follow protocols for infection prevention and control.

  • Antenatal care: Conduct regular check-ups for pregnant women.

  • Labor and delivery: Assist and support women through labor and childbirth, monitoring the condition of both mother and baby during delivery.

  • Emergency care: Recognize and manage obstetric emergencies (e.g., postpartum hemorrhage, eclampsia), initiate emergency interventions, and ensure timely referral. 

Requirements

  • Must have a degree and a diploma in Nursing and Midwifery from a reputable institute.

  • Must be registered with a valid practicing license from the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.

  • Must have relevant professional experience and a valid practicing license from the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.

  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Diligent attention to detail.
