Job Description
The role is responsible for leading various teams to deliver value for stakeholders through commercialization of content, partnerships and co-created opportunities in digital, broadcast, print and events. These will be delivered through by adopting agile commercial strategies that will ensure sustainable revenues across platforms in Uganda.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial teams in developing and executing an agile strategy across various sectors, with a view of delivering advertising budgets as set.
- Deliberate focus on digital and broadcast lead within the multimedia solutions offering to various partners.
- Support people development, talent nurturing, mentorship, and coaching team members with a view of improving their daily and annual performance productivity so that they deliver organization goals.
- Ensure teamwork and collaborative effort to deliver overall group strategy by identifying strategic media engagements and partnerships.
- These will be done by involving the group’s executive leadership.
- Improve overall business efficiency by ensuring all commercial operations support a sustainable business.
- This will be through debt management, profitability focus and mitigation of any risks that may be posed to the business.
- Lead sustainable market and customer engagements that shall deliver great customer experience and new innovations from trade collaborations.
- Protect and grow broadcast, digital and print advertising market share.
- Other key outcomes are high value projects, partnerships and stronger customer relationships.
Requirements
- Academic: An agile people skilled leader with a business-related master’s degree.
- Experience:
- Commercially savvy with at least 10 years of demonstrable relevant experience in heavy FMCG.
- Extensive knowledge and experience commercialization of multi-media commercialization and cross integration with partnerships.
- A member of a professional body in marketing, leadership or any other.
- Strong cross functional leadership skills.
- Skilled in project management.
