Finance Trainee

Nation Media Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Trainee to join our dynamic Finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the execution of core finance functions, including Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Taxation, and SAP system processes. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and practical exposure to financial operations within East Africa's leading media house, while contributing to the achievement of the Group's financial and strategic objectives.

• Assist in managing Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, and general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Help prepare and file statutory tax returns while ensuring adherence to tax regulations.

• Contribute to the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and management reports.

• Participate in processing financial transactions and generating reports using the SAP system.

• Use Excel or Power BI to analyze financial data, identify trends, and support decision-making.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related field from a recognized university.

• CPA Finalist or ACCA Final Level.

• Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar) with the ability to interpret and present financial data effectively.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.

• Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.

• High level of integrity, professionalism, and eagerness to learn and grow within the organisation.
