Job Description
The Communications Volunteer will provide day-to-day support to the
partnerships and development team in ensuring the organization’s visibility,
storytelling, and engagement across digital and traditional platforms.

Responsibilities
- Assist in compiling media contacts and maintaining the media database.
- Support in drafting press releases, media advisories, and invitations.
- Help monitor media coverage and prepare simple reports.
- Collect stories, quotes, and photos from programs and activities.
- Draft short articles, blog posts, and captions for different platforms.
- Support editing and formatting of reports, newsletters, and other materials.
- Schedule posts and support content updates on social media platforms.
- Monitor engagement and respond to basic online inquiries.
- Assist in creating simple graphics, flyers, and digital materials.
- Help draft internal announcements, emails, and meeting notes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism,
- Marketing, or related field, with 1 year experience in communications or media.
- Skilled in writing, editing, and content production across digital and print, with
- practical experience managing social media accounts and analytics. Interest in communications, media, or related fields.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital tools.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- High integrity, honesty, and confidentiality.
- Team player with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
