About NSSF

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF Uganda) is a National Saving Scheme mandated by Government through the National Social Security Fund Act, Cap 222 (Laws of Uganda) to provide social security services to employees in Uganda. NSSF Uganda is a Provident Fund and covers employees in the private sector. The Fund is a contributory scheme and is funded by contributions from employees and employers of 5% and 10% respectively of the employee’s gross monthly wage. Since 2012, the Fund is regulated by the Uganda Retirement Benefits Regulatory Authority while Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development is responsible for policy oversight. The Fund manages assets worth over UGX 10 trillion invested in Fixed Income, Equities and Real Estate assets within the East Africa region.

Job Description

The Account Manager is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of partnerships with entities that have significant subscriber bases, including mass market entities, livelihoods, and Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). This role focuses on promoting behaviourally driven and lifestyle-based recruitments and implementing automated savings solutions within these transaction-based environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the complete lifecycle of assigned partnerships, ensuring successful integration and ongoing partnership health.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for partner entities, managing all aspects of the relationship and ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding of objectives.

  • Coordinate with technical teams to implement seamless systems that facilitate automated savings and member registrations through entity transactions.

  • Monitor integration processes to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and NSSF policies.

  • Regularly evaluate the performance of each entity partnership using specific KPIs to ensure they meet targeted recruitment and savings goals.

  • Prepare and deliver reports to the supervisor and other senior stakeholders detailing partnership performance, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the partner organization.

  • Organize and lead regular review meetings with partners to discuss performance, feedback, and potential improvements.

  • Identify and leverage opportunities within the partner’s framework to enhance recruitment efforts and increase savings contributions.

  • Propose and deploy new initiatives that align with the behavioral and lifestyle needs of the partner’s subscriber base.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • A professional qualification in Project Management, Business, or Finance is an added advantage.

  • Proven experience of 3+ years in project management, relationship management, and compliance management, or a related role in the financial or pension sector.

  • Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the Fund.
