Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The primary responsibilities of this position include learning and mastering the CPY OPERCOM system to implement piping system pre-commissioning activities according to its requirements. This entails developing detailed Piping Test Packages and Leak Test Packages based on project requirements and design specifications, which must define the test media, pressure, valving, and duration.
  • The role requires selecting appropriate leak testing equipment—including pressure pumps, gauges, valves, and manifolds—and ensuring it meets all necessary requirements. On site, the position is responsible for inspecting and supervising hydrostatic and leak tests on piping systems according to established procedures, meticulously recording all data throughout the process.
  • A key duty is to analyze this test data and prepare comprehensive reports to verify full compliance with design specifications and standards. The position must also identify and resolve any issues encountered during testing to ensure the ultimate safety and reliability of the pipeline system, enforcing all safety measures to prevent incidents.
  • Furthermore, the role involves preparing all relevant dossiers for piping testing, such as procedures and method statements. Maintaining timely and effective communication with the Company and other involved parties is also an essential responsibility.

Requirements

  • Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of three years of experience in industrial construction projects, with a preference for backgrounds in high-pressure strength testing or leak testing.
  • Proficiency in Office software and CAD is required, with knowledge of Navisworks considered a strong advantage. Candidates must also be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the English language. Possession of any other relevant professional certifications will be viewed favorably.
