Uganda Wildlife Authority, (UWA) manages 10 National Parks; 12 Wildlife reserves; 5 Community Wildlife Management Areas; and 13 Wildlife Sanctuaries. The ten National Parks include Queen Elizabeth, Lake Mburo, Murchison Falls, Kidepo Valley, Kibale, Mount Elgon, Rwenzori Mountains, Semuliki, Mgahinga Gorilla, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Parks. Job Description

UWA is seeking a Sports Coach to manage routine sports activities for us.

 

Reports to: Senior Sports Officer

Department: Office of the Executive Director

Salary scale: UWA 08

Contract duration: Four (4) years

Number of vacancies: One (1) 



Responsibilities

  • Designing training programs for the club.

  • Executing the designed training programs for the club.

  • Preparing athletes for club and national competitions.

  • Attending to technical correspondences at any competition where the club participates.

  • Preparing and submitting club performance reports after participation in organized events.

  • Preparing periodic technical reports on each player’s performance and conduct during the season and making necessary recommendations.

  • Conducting scouting of talented players and recommending the best talents to management for possible consideration.

Requirements

  • A Uganda Certificate of Education plus Certificate in Physical Education from a recognized Institution.

  • At least two (2) years of relevant working experience in sports administration from a reputable organization.

  • Knowledge in sports management
